Online Self Scheduling

The UMW Student Health Center is now offering Online Self Scheduling appointments, Please click on the Student Portal Tab to make your selection.

Medical

The SHC evaluates and treats medical problems such as sore throats, allergies, colds, flu, diarrhea, urinary tract infections and rashes. Additionally, we see students for concussions, sprains, strains, and cuts. We have rapid tests for Strep, flu, COVID, Mono, and urine analysis.

Allergy Shots

If you regularly receive allergy shots and need to continue those while at UMW we provide an Allergy Service  that does just that. The allergy clinic does not replace your allergist and does not do allergy testing or write allergy serum prescriptions. We will give shots to those already started on them.

Reproductive and Sexual Health

Any reproductive/sexual health concerns about contraceptives (including emergency contraception), Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s), routine STI testing and pregnancy can be addressed at the SHC. Services such as routine PAP smears are also available.  Students can get a set of free STI testing once per academic year. Mental Health Consultations

The decision to seek mental healthcare can be difficult. The Student Health Center can help. We provide mental health assessment and treatment for anxiety, depression, insomnia, performance anxiety, and nicotine dependence. We can also make referrals for counseling and psychiatry when needed. Call us for an appointment.

Travel Consultations

UMW Students studying abroad can get travel consultations/recommendations and physicals at the SHC. It is recommended that you look up the CDC website for Travelers Health for more information as well.
