If you have a medical concern, you may be seen by a nurse, a nurse practitioner or a physician for medical services. We typically see students for problems ranging from urinary tract infections, colds, flu, diarrhea and headaches to more serious problems like pneumonia.
We have in-house rapid testing for Strep, urine analysis, influenza, urine pregnancy and mononucleosis. We do not draw blood or take x-rays at the SHC but these services are available ten minutes away near Mary Washington Hospital.
You will need to make an appointment to see the nurse practitioner or the physician but you may be seen on a walk-in basis by the nurse any time we are open. Our last appointment is at 4:30pm.
