SEPT: Rec Fest

To welcome you to UMW and celebrate the start of a new semester, Campus Recreation hosts an open house for new and returning students and employees.

Stop by Goolrick and the Fitness Center to:

– take free fitness classes,
– learn about the gym,

NOV: Guys Gains Night

In celebration of International Men’s Day, Campus Recreation hosts a male-focused event. In the past we’ve done Broga, yoga for men, but in 2018 we’re bringing you Guys Gains Night!

Guys – stop by the Fitness Center after hours to learn how to:
– use the numerous types of equipment,
– perform exercises with proper form,
– get more out of your workouts,
– add quick and effective cardio to your routine,
and more!

Guys Gains Night is a judgement-free zone where beginner and experienced exercisers alike can stop in to learn something new, or just get in a great workout after hours.

FEB: Partner Yoga

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, Campus Recreation hosts a yoga class that incorporates a variety of poses that utilize a partner. Grab your roommate, best friend, or significant other and join our enjoyable yoga instructors for a very fun time!
