Military and Veteran Services at UMW

Our mission at the University of Mary Washington is to support veterans, active-duty service members, guardsmen, reservists, and their dependents in their successful integration into the UMW community. We endeavor to assist these students through various services, including transfer credit counseling and guidance on VA benefits. With the Office of Academic Services located nearby, academic advising is conveniently accessible by appointment.

Situated within the Office of the Registrar, the two VA School Certifying Officials at UMW personally recognize that the transition to student life can be both challenging and rewarding. On behalf of the entire university community, we sincerely thank you and your family for your service to our nation. We are committed to providing the necessary services to facilitate a successful transition, and we take pride in supporting our military and veteran community in every possible way.
