On Saturday October 19th, sixty students attended the annual Leadership Colloquium at the University of Mary Washington’s Stafford Campus. Students chose three sessions to attend on various aspects of leadership. Students were able to hone their leadership skills in sessions led by a twelve different leaders from the community. Sessions included: Cultural Competency, Ethics and Leadership, Win an Argument Without Losing a Friend, Effective Communications, Group Dynamics, Difficult Conversations, Technology and Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Fairy Godmother Project, Advanced Practitioner Leadership, and many more. Students were awed by the keynote speaker, as well as the opportunity to discuss key leadership topics with the presenters over lunch.
