New Experiences for Students Transitioning, referred to as NEST, is a four-day program open to all incoming freshmen spanning August 20-23. NEST offers a unique opportunity to bond with fellow students as you explore UMW and surrounding attractions by participating in activities that encompass our core values of Honor, Leadership, and Social Justice.

Please DO NOT pay until you receive notification you have been accepted.  Specifics on notification and payment are included in the registration form. A successful payment will direct you back to this page, followed shortly by a confirmation email from umwbills@umw.edu.

 

About the Program

Sunday, August 20 - Move-in, Ice Breakers, Welcome Dinner, Scavenger Hunt on Campus and Downtown

Monday, August 21 - Leadership: Challenge Discovery, Field Day, Capture the Flag

Tuesday, August 22 - Service: Service Projects, Tubing  on the Rappahannock River, Dinner with the President

Wednesday, August 23 - Social Justice: National Museum of African American History in D.C.
