SAE Front Desk Staff assists the office in managing requests submitted through myUMW, by email, over the phone, in person, as well as with day-to-day office operations. They are the first point of contact for those entering the SAE Office and thus must possess strong customer service skills as well as the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. They are also responsible for assisting student organizations in setting up for their events. Duties involve: setting up SAE equipment, driving SAE gator, managing SAE equipment inventory.

Senior Student Coordinator positions are senior-level student workers opportunities at the Office of Student Activities and Engagement, and serves as an integral member of the Office of Student Activities and Engagement Team. These positions are open to all class years, and offer experience in management, event planning, policy development and collaboration.

The Senior Student Coordinator (SSC) for Events monitors the myUMW event process, submits room reservations requests on behalf of clubs, works with students to provide logistical support for events, and develop procedures and policies that streamline the event planning process.

The Senior Student Coordinator (SSC) for myUMW acts as a point-person for SAE’s myUMW procedures and system management. Position manages training opportunities, marketing, system upkeep, administrative/department goal-oriented tasks, and increasing the level of myUMW use from student organizations.

The Senior Student Coordinator (SSC) for Office Programs assists office staff in envisioning and deploying departmental and university events including Club Carnival, SAE Open House, Homecoming, Family Weekend, Unwind @ MaryWash, as well as new initiatives. The main duties of this position include, but are not limited to, assisting SAE in planning and organizing events, devising marketing plans, running event day-of logistics, putting together office assessments, assisting in setting up and breaking down event equipment, and providing excellent customer service.
