30th Annual Multicultural Fair
Saturday, April 4, 2020
10am – 5pm (Rain or Shine)
Due to a forecast of rain and possible thunderstorms, Saturday’s Multicultural Fair will move indoors. While food vendors will still be located on Ball Circle, craft and other vendors will move into the first and second floors of the University Center.
The performances will take place as follows:
Children’s Area will be in the Commuter Lounge on the 3rd floor of the University Center. The other performance areas will be located in Monroe Hall 116, the Lee Hall Underground, and Dodd Auditorium in George Washington Hall.
See the updated Performance Schedule for more information.
Rain or shine, this event remains one of the best ways to celebrate diverse cultures. Please come out sometime between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to the University’s 29th Annual Multicultural Fair – and encourage others to attend.
Thank you for your support of what has become a Fredericksburg tradition.
The Multicultural Fair generally attracts 5,000 to 6,000 people each year, and exemplifies the University of Mary Washington’s commitment to enhancing multicultural awareness. Typically held in early April, the Fair provides an entire day devoted to multicultural entertainment, children’s activities, international and American food, and ethnic craft vendors. Each year the Multicultural Student Affairs and James Farmer Multicultural Center work closely with UMW student organizations, faculty and staff in planning festivities. The University also partners with the greater Fredericksburg community, which plays an integral role in successfully implementing the fair.
