Group Fitness Instructor Prep Course

Spring 2021 – February 16th to May 6th

Tuesday from 2-3pm and Thursdays from 12:30-1:30pm

Do you want to be a fitness instructor at UMW? You can! This 12-week course gives you the fitness knowledge and instructing experience you need to feel comfortable leading fitness classes. It is important to understand how to prepare a safe and effective workout, how to demonstrate and teach proper form, exercise cueing, musicality, safety procedures, and more! In this free, non-academic course you will learn through lectures about class preparation, movement, and muscles, as well as spend time practicing exercise form, music phrasing, and leading others!
