Committee Information
This year, a new committee system
has been created. The committee structure is led by Executive Vice President
Jenna Rosenberger
and each committee is led by a chairperson
or co-chairpersons.
Committees are made up of club members and/or Officers who volunteer to take on the role. They are expected to attend all committee meetings (about once a month) and take an active role in planning the events proposed by the Committees.
The term of committees will run the length of the school year. Members may join up to two committees, or more with approval from the Officers.

Publicity Committee (Chairperson: Casey Jackson, cjackson@umw.edu)
Purpose: To keep the club members and campus informed of events and meetings through posters, signs, mailings, emails, newsletters, radio, TV, websites and other mediums deemed necessary by the Officers of the club.
History Committee (Chairperson: Anne Longerbeam, alongerb@umw.edu)
Purpose: To keep all photos, newsletters, important publications, files, and scrapbooks, as well as keep a record of all club Officers, District and International Officers from this University’s club, and all awards.
Kiwanis Family Relations Committee (Chairperson: Amanda Shackleford, ashac5gr@umw.ed
u & Kristen Kelleher, kkellehe@umw.ed u) Purpose: To maintain and increase active relations with local branches of the Kiwanis Family, including the Fredericksburg Kiwanis Club, local Key Clubs, Builders Clubs, K-Kids, and Aktion Clubs.
District and Divisional Committee (Chairperson: Kerry Ghanavan, kgava4xq@umw.edu)
Purpose: To ensure that the club participates in events offered at the Divisional, District, and International levels and implements activities to support, when applicable, the Governor’s Project, the District Awareness Project, the District Project, Service Initiative, and other projects emphasized by Circle K International, the Capital District and the Ridgeline Division.
Service Committee (Chairperson: Caitlin Higgins, chigg3hi@umw.edu)
Purpose: To find and propose new service opportunities for the club and to ensure that there is an Officer or person designated by the committee chair in charge of the event.
Social Committee (Chairperson: Jenna Hannigan, jhanniga@umw.edu)
Purpose: To plan and implement events with the purpose of fostering fellowship within the club.
Fundraising Committee (Chairperson: Melissa Eads, meads@umw.edu)
Purpose: To raise funds to supplement the budget provided by the University and the dues of potential club members, and to raise funds to charities.
