Emmaus Baptist Church in New Kent, VA is seeking a Minister of Children and Youth for the summer of 2003. The position will include Centrifuge, VBS and YEC plus 15-20 hours a week. The job begins June 1 and will end August 17. The salary for the summer is $2,400. We are seeking a mature Christian college or seminary student with energy and athletic ability. Antioch Union Baptist Church in Buckingham County is looking for a summer youth worker, beginning in mid June and going through the end of August. The youth minister would have the responsibilities of developing and implementing a summer program for both children and youth (activities and Bible studies). The individual would need to be a dedicated Christian, who believes the Bible is God's inspired word. He/she should have a great love of children and youth plus an ability to teach the basics of Christianity. Our church is a small by city standards (average 70) but we have a good number of children. We have also become aware of a number of children and youth in our community who do not attend any church and it is our hope and prayer that a summer youth/childrens program would help us reach out to them. For these reasons we have budgeted about two hundred dollars a week for a summer youth/childrens ministry. We also will be able to provide lodging if they desire. We think a male might be more beneficial but would not rule out a female. Spiritual maturity and an ability to communicate with youth and children is what we deem most important. Grove Baptist Church is beginning a search for someone to serve as Youth Pastor/Director. The search committee is seeking a single male or a young married couple. Starting salary for this position will be based on experience.
