Who are we?

The Baptist Student Union is a Christian fellowship which strives to minister to the needs of the Mary Washington college community as well as churches in the surrounding Fredericksburg area. In addition, we desire to take the love and Gospel Message of Jesus Christ out into the world around us. We invite you to come be a part of our fellowship as we seek to engage in community, discipleship, and outreach.

Where are we?

Our ministry center is located on College Avenue across the street from the Chandler parking lot. It is open daily so that students can fellowship with one another, grow in their relationship with God, and study in a "home-like" environment. We welcome you to join us as we embark together upon an exciting journey of growth and enrichment.

What are we?

Five Alive Each Tuesday night at 5:00pm, we gather for a spirit filled time of worship, spiritual growth, fellowship, and free home cooked meal. Come join us! Creative Ministries Students minister on campus and in the local community and churches through music, drama, sports, and much more. We offer such teams as a Skit team, Choir, Sports Ministry Team, and a Praise & Worship Band. Small Groups Freshmen seminar, Grad group, Bible studies, and Prayer groups allow students to meet on a more intimate level to grow spiritually and to fellowship with others. Join as many as you wish! Retreats Fall Eagle Eyrie Student Conference (October), Mid-Winter Retreat (February), Spring Eagle Eyrie Student Conference (March/April), and individual team retreats are offered throughout the year. Missions Fall Break mission trip, Spring Break mission trip, summer missions opportunities, and monthly local mission projects allow students to involve themselves in a variety of mission activities. Fellowship Movie nights, ball games, ice cream socials, exam breakers, and so much more...
