For Commuting Students

Fall SceneMeal Plans: A 5-meal plan is available for commuting students through the Office of Student Accounts.

Parking: Parking is available in the 444-space parking deck located behind Goolrick Hall. Access is off of Route 1 onto Alvey Drive.

Health Center: Full-time students must submit the Health History form signed by a health care provider in order to obtain Health Center privileges. The Health Center Request Form for Off-Campus Students is available at www.umw.edu/healthcenter under “Forms.”

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Center: Psychological services are free to all full-time, degree seeking students. CAPS is located on the first floor of Lee Hall.

Lockers : Lockers are available, free of charge, in the Woodard Campus Center for commuting students. Locker assignments can be requested, starting with the first day of classes of the fall or spring semester, from the Information Desk in Woodard Campus Center. Priority is given to full-time degree-seeking students.

Severe Weather: In the event of severe winter weather, commuting students may contact the Residence Life office (654-1058) to arrange for temporary overnight housing.

Lounges: The Commuter Student Lounge (Tan Lounge) is located on the upper level of the Woodard Campus Center and is nicely equipped with couches, chairs, tables, microwave, and other amenities. The Wash Room, located across from the Eagle’s Nest food court in the Woodard Campus Center, is a great space for relaxing between classes. It is equipped with email terminals, comfortable sofas and chairs, large screen high definition plasma televisions, and a pool table and ping pong tables.
