The Korean-Afghan Roommate Community

The Korean-Afghan Roommate Community (KARC) is a community that focuses on assisting exchange students transition into the UMW community and gain a greater understanding of American Culture. Exchange students come from Sungshin Women’s University in Korea and from the Initiative to Educate Afghan Women. In addition to assisting these students, participants have the opportunity to learn about the culture of their respective roommate.
