GSMA Kick-Off Celebration

Join PRISM for an afternoon of fun, friends, and food as we kick off our celebration! Come hang out with members and friends of PRISM and enjoy some burgers and hot dogs. Play games, get familiar with PRISM, and get pumped for the week’s awesome events!

This ‘ain’t your mama’s high school health class. Join area sex health professionals from Fredericksburg Area AIDS/HIV Support Services (FAHASS) for some real talk about sexual health and safety, and fun while they answer those hush-hush questions that you’ve always wanted to ask.

Gender and Sexual Minorities and Allies (GSMA) Cultural Celebration Keynote Speaker: Mara Keisling

A transgender-identified woman and a parent, Mara Keisling is founding executive director of the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE). Since its inception in 2003, the center has been a part of a coalition of efforts that has led to significant advances in transgender equality. Keisling, who earned a bachelor’s degree from Penn State, went on to pursue graduate studies in American government at Harvard. With nearly a quarter century in opinion research and social marketing, she appears often on the news and is frequently quoted in both print and broadcast media.

Step into a fairy tale at the sixth annual PRISM Prom! Bring your pumpkin carriage to an enchanted night with Sir Dance-a-lot and the knights of the queer kingdom! Ticket sales will go to a non-profit supporting the GSMA community.
