Group Exercise Program

The Group Exercise Class Program is now finished for the year.  Thank you to our instructors and participants for a great year!  Look for the Fall 2013 schedule of classes later this summer.  We look forward to another banner year in 2013-14.

The Group Exercise Class Program sponsored by the Campus Recreation Department strives to provide participants with quality instructor-led classes. All adult instructors hold certifications for the classes they teach and have developed a great reputation across the University for challenging classes. For instructor biographical information please go to Campus Recreation Staff page.

Peer-led classes are also offered that provide great student leadership opportunities. Past class offerings have included: Belly Dancing, Old School Aerobics, Water Aerobics, and Dance for Exercise. The Campus Recreation Department encourages interested students to present class ideas. All student instructors are asked to audition by leading a demonstration class prior to becoming part of the regular class offerings for the semester.

Please be advised – There is a “no street shoe” rule in effect for the Goolrick Hall Dance Studios. If you are taking part in a class that requires you to wear shoes please make sure that you do not wear the same shoes in class that you wear getting to class. Shoes should be clean of dirt and debris and should have non-marking soles.
