During Honor Convocation, students pledge to uphold the UMW Honor Code. Faculty, dressed in academic regalia, attend the ceremony.
The Honor Pledge for academics is as follows:
“I hereby declare upon my word of honor that I have neither given nor received unauthorized help on this work.”
However, students are also pledging to be honorable in every interaction in the UMW Community. They promise not to lie, cheat or steal, in any context.
