The Fitness Center is a 19,000 square foot facility managed by the Department of Campus Recreation. This space, which opened in 2004, has two levels: the first floor is home to a large selection of strength equipment, and the second floor houses a wide variety of cardio machines. There is an Olympic weightlifting floor, a cycle studio, several stations for bench pressing and squatting, ample space for stretching and core exercises, and new selectorized strength machines. Additional features include a bank of six suspended televisions, offering cable television via a Cardio Theater wireless entertainment system for those on the cardio machines. For more information, you may contact the Fitness Center at (540) 654-1732.
If you would like a free orientation to the equipment at the Fitness Center, please e-mail Brittanie Haas at firstname.lastname@example.org to get a 15 minute meeting set up!
